About the concept
A concept for bringing a living garden to the aft deck of a superyacht — a sculptural olive tree, layered Mediterranean planting and soft lounge seating, composed to frame the sea view rather than block it.
Inside, a lit herb wall connects the galley to the deck, so the same botanical language runs from the outdoor lounge to the chef’s kitchen.

Design approach
- 01
Framing the horizon
Planting heights are kept low at the stern and rise toward the superstructure, so guests keep an open view of the water.
- 02
Deck-ready planting
Species are chosen around sun, wind and salt exposure on the aft deck, with planters integrated into the built-in seating.
- 03
From deck to galley
A hydroponic herb wall beside the galley gives the chef fresh herbs and links the interior to the garden outside.
This project is a design concept and visualisation study, presented to show MONARCH GREEN ATELIER’s approach.
