About the concept

A landscape concept for a terraced hillside villa: olive groves, clipped evergreen forms and an infinity pool that appears to continue into the sea.

Around the house, a glasshouse, cypress avenue and flowering borders give the garden structure and seasonal colour.

Design approach

  1. 01

    Terraces as rooms

Each level of the hillside has its own role — arrival, pool, dining and quiet garden.

  2. 02

    Structure and softness

Clipped shapes and specimen trees hold the design together; loose planting brings movement.

  3. 03

    Designed to mature

Trees and hedges are placed for how they will look in ten years, not only on day one.

This project is a design concept and visualisation study, presented to show MONARCH GREEN ATELIER’s approach.
