About the concept
A study for a run of smart planters along an upper deck: olive trees, lavender and silver-leaved aromatics set in long, low planters that read as part of the yacht’s architecture.
Each planter is imagined with an integrated reservoir and solar-assisted irrigation, so the planting stays composed between crew checks.

Design approach
- 01
Planters as architecture
Long, low forms follow the deck lines and finishes, so the planters feel built-in rather than added.
- 02
Solar-assisted watering
Compact panels and moisture sensing are planned around exposure and shade on the deck, with backup considered.
- 03
Sunset planting palette
Olive, lavender and grasses are chosen for silver tones that glow in evening light and suit an exposed position.
This project is a design concept and visualisation study, presented to show MONARCH GREEN ATELIER’s approach.
